Capturing the Heart and Mind while Teaching Natural Sciences

How can teaching Physics relate to art? For Elias Kalogirou, a passionate and much awarded teacher in secondary education, students are little artists, endowed with sharpened sensitivity and ready to sense the beauty around them and be inspired. This is why, Elias Kalogirou argues that teaching Physics needs to capture not only the mind but also, and perhaps more importantly, the heart of the students; to engage them in the adventure of learning by showing them the beauty of science, to bring to the fore the skills and talents of each and every student, to help them strengthen their personality and urge them to collaborate and co-create.
