Η Μόνικα Χριστοδούλου πρωτογνώρισε την επιτυχία στο Myspace, από την Αθήνα όπου γεννήθηκε. Το πρώτο της LP με τίτλο «Avatar» (2008) έγινε πλατινένιο στην Ελλάδα και σε σύντομο χρονικό διάστημα ήταν το πρώτο όνομα σε σημαντικά φεστιβάλ σε όλη τη χώρα. Το δεύτερο πλατινένιο LP της «Exit» (2010) την καθιέρωσε ως σημαντική Ελληνίδα καλλιτέχνη και την οδήγησε στο διάσημο στούντιο Dunham της Νέας Υόρκης, όπου ηχογράφησε το τρίτο της άλμπουμ «Secret in The Dark» (2015). Ως διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένη καλλιτέχνης, και ενώ εισήλθε οργανικά σε ευρωπαϊκές αγορές, όπως αυτές της Γαλλίας και του Βελγίου, υπέγραψε συμβόλαιο με σημαντικές εταιρείες και διανομείς (PIAS France) και το 2016 υπέγραψε με την Songs Publishing, ως μία από τις πιο πολύτιμες καλλιτέχνες της χρονιάς. Μετά από δύο εκτεταμένες περιοδείες στις ΗΠΑ και την Ευρώπη και μια εκτεταμένη περιοδεία στη Γαλλία, σε συνδυασμό με τη ζωντανή μετάδοση «Tiny Desk» στο NPR, έγινε γνωστό όνομα σε media όπως Vogue NYC, Pitchfork, New York Times, Liberation, BBC Radio 1 και The Guardian. Έχει εμφανιστεί σε πολλούς από τους πιο σημαντικούς χώρους παγκοσμίως (Ηρώδειο, Στέγη Γραμμάτων και Τεχνών Ιδρύματος Ωνάση, Κέντρο Πολιτισμού Σταύρος Νιάρχος , Baby’s Alright NYC, Bootleg Theatre LA). Το νέο της άλμπουμ, σε συνεργασία με επιφανείς μουσικούς παραγωγούς των ΗΠΑ αναμένεται να κυκλοφορήσει μέσα στο 2019.

Monika Christodoulou started as a Myspace sensation from her hometown Athens, Greece. Her debut LP “Avatar” (2008) became platinum in Greece and soon she was headlining major festivals around the country. Her second platinum LP “ Exit” (2010) established her as a major Greek artist and led her to NYC’s famous Dunham studios where she recorded her third album, “Secret in The Dark” (2015). As an internationally well-respected artist, while organically breaking through European markets such as France and Belgium, she was signed by major labels and distributors (PIAS France) and in 2016 was signed with Songs Publishing as one of the most valued acquired artists of the year. Two extensive tours in US and EU, plus one extensive French tour and live session “Tiny Desk” on NPR made her a familiar name in media outlets such as Vogue NYC, Pitchfork, New York Times, Liberation, BBC Radio 1 and The Guardian. Having performed in some of the most prestigious venues in the world (Herodion Theatre, Onassis Cultural Centre, Stavros Niarchos Foundation, Baby’s Alright NYC, Bootleg Theatre LA). Monika is expected to release her new album within 2019, with highly distinguished US music producers.
