Konstantinos Tzoumas

Actor

TZOUMAS-2

A gifted and multi-talented personality, Konstantinos Tzoumas was born in Piraeus in 1944 and spent his life in Pasalimani and Athens. As a youngster he was a bohemian and a traveler, choosing lessons taught through real life experiences than within university auditoriums.

Konstantinos became an actor just because he wanted to react and demonstrate against the notion that acting equals to immorality. He studied theatre at the Athens Drama School and attended dance seminars given by Zouzou Nikoloudi, Alwin Nikolais, Merce Cunningham, and Alvin Ailey. In New York he learned the tricks of survival, without making a big fuss out of it. Constantinos quit dancing and worked in theatre, cinema and television.

He characterises himself as a “book-eater”, since reading and writing have been his childhood passions. In 2008, following this passion he published his first book “Os ek Thavmatos” (Miraculously) as the first part of his autobiographical trilogy. The second and third part of the trilogy were entitled “Complete Unknown” and “Panolethriamvos” (Disastrous Triumph), published in 2009 and 2010 respectively. Nowadays, he runs a popular two hour daily radio show broadcasted by EnLefko radio station.

He loves classic sports, ping-pong, billiard, classical novelists and last but not least Rock’n’roll.
