Argyro Barata

Argyro studied Management specialising on the Tourism Sector and holds a master’s degree in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Sheffield focused on Destination Marketing. She started her career as an editor at the local newspapers, Macedonia and Thessaloniki, since writing has always been her thing. However, one summer she decided to go and work for Sani Resort in Halkidiki, which proved to be a life changing experience as over the years she took over the production management of Sani Festival and Sani Gourmet. As a cultural manager she has a track record of planning and coordinating projects, delivering creative events with national reach for independent artists and major Greek festivals. She is co-founder of FEAST Thessaloniki (Funding Entrepreneurship & the Arts with Sustainable Tactics), a platform to microfund creative ideas with collective dinners.
